Cascade is the quintessential ricochet hunter, built around making every bullet count twice — or ten times. Her passive abilities amplify bounce effects on all weapon types, turning a standard Revolver into a screen-clearing chain machine. She is the default recommended character for players learning the Forge system, as her kit rewards well-crafted weapons more than raw stats.

Solara is a high-ceiling burst character whose kit revolves around rapid ability cycling. Her ability functions almost like a second weapon when cooldown is sufficiently reduced. The Ascended trait — which grants 30% damage, 30% reload speed, and 30% attack speed for 5 seconds after each ability use — becomes permanently active at high investment, making Solara terrifying in Legendary runs.

Orfeo is a unique character whose attacks pulse in rhythmic bursts synced to a hidden internal beat. While primarily a solo character, Orfeo's passive aura boosts nearby kill XP and increases Ash drop rates, making him the top choice for players focused on grinding Ash efficiently for Forge upgrades between runs. His high Ash income is unmatched.

Vex is a defensive powerhouse who specializes in slowing and freezing entire enemy waves. Her Cold affinity makes her the strongest character for dealing with fast enemy types — the same enemies that counter Cascade and Solara. In high-difficulty biomes where elite packs charge relentlessly, Vex's freeze aura buys precious seconds to reload and reposition.
